Today is Thursday, June 18, 2015. We continue our work on WebQuest with Dr. Lee. After  break, two groups presented. One presentation was on the Civil War and the other on The Importance of Tooth Care.
Dr. Lee showed us many different usable websites: Doceri, Knowmia Touch, Prezi, Notability Popplet and Penab.
Next, we viewed a video on the iPad called "iPad for the Classroom". Dr. Lee asked, "What technology/devices are you using in your classroom?". Chicago Public is using technology, it is the third largest district in the US.
Art was great as usual. I started putting depth to my work and begin to glue it down. I am so looking forward to seeing my finished product.

Net , we created a newspaper. It is titled  GAETI GAZETTE. I think it is very informative. Then we had to share this document. It has been a WHOLE-LOT today!!!

Today is Wednesday, June 17, 2015. I arrived a little lost because I did not know what room the class was located. We talked and listen to Mr. Miguel Alaron from Concepcion, Chile. Mr. Miguel answered many questions about his country. It was amazing to hear and see him all the way from South America.
At 10:00, we begin creating an Online Presentation. Then Dr. Lee taught us how to put it on Youtube.
About 11:00, we walked to T. K. Martin Center for a tour. There were many wheelchairs and lots of information. the man told us he works with the Department of Rehabilitation and Occupational Therapy. He also said they work with the Wounded Warriors Project.
After lunch, it was time for that awesome class ART! It was relaxing and as wonderful as usual.
At 3:00, we got a new book called Web 2.0 How-To for Educators. Then we work on WebQuest.
all and all again A+ for TODAY!!!!

Monday, June 15, 2015

Today is Monday, June 15, 2015. This is the third week of GAETI 2015. This morning we were greeted by Dr. Bracy. We begin discussing School /District Policy Involvement  and BYOD the pros and cons. Working in small groups, we explored pros and cons of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD). We presented our lists and discuss what most of us thought.
After lunch we had that wonderful art class with Miss. Sunshine. It was work but very enjoyable.
Afterward, we had Mrs. Nashandra James with the topic
"Benefits & Implementation of a 1:1 Program. She brought information on how devices are being used at Madison county Schools. Their Motto is "Mark of Excellence". Instead of the 1:1, it is 1:Many. The video is wonderful how happy and proud the students were to have the device. It helps to see how others are implementing such an awesome program.
"The goal is not only to help each child reach his or her fullest potential; but also for each child to excel". I feel this statement says it all.

Friday, June 12, 2015

Friday, June 12, 2015, GAETI 2015 begin with Dr. Kathy Morris as our facilitator. The first session was led by Mr. Nick Timmerman on Native American Civil Rights. This was very informative. We discussed how the American Indian has been stereo-typed in Hollywood and other ways.
After this we went on a tour to Library to tour the Grant Museum. It was amazing to see actual letters written by Grant and to know that more people attended his funeral than any other president.
Later about 1:00 pm, Arts and Crafts time. On my art work, I messed up but was able to fix it. Mrs. Latham is a great teacher. We are bonding and enjoying our time together. Later we went to the Cobb Institute of Archaeology for a tour with Mr. Dylan Kargas. It was very interesting. I took pictures to share later. Next was our visit to the Dunn Seiler Geology Museum with many interesting displays. Later we visit the lab to look at Google Earth once again...What a Day!

Have A great Weekend!!! We are halfway there!!!
